OGILVY HEALTHWORLD APPOINTS CARSTEN EDWARDS AS MANAGING PARTNER OF MARKET ACCESS SERVICES

LONDON, UK. 29 April - Ogilvy Healthworld, part of Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide (www.ogilvychww.com), today announced the appointment of Carsten Edwards to the role of Managing Partner of Market Access Services for Ogilvy Healthworld Market Access. Carsten will be joining the established team in June 2011.

Ogilvy Healthworld Market Access is the new London hub for Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide’s specialist market access services; creating a truly global market access service.

Ogilvy Healthworld Market Access offers a comprehensive range of in-market, regional and global market access services. These complement and enhance Ogilvy Healthworld's established disciplines to deliver consistent value messages to all stakeholders that have an influence over access to medicines. These disciplines include clinical trial recruitment and retention, brand planning, advertising, medical marketing communications and public relations.

Carsten joins Ogilvy Healthworld Market Access from Chandler Chicco Companies where he held the position of Managing Director for Brandtectonics Access. Prior to this, Carsten worked for Bristol Myers Squibb, where he held the position of Customer Marketing Manager. In this role he provided a critical contribution to the early commercialisation phase of key product launch programmes, including those in the field of oncology, immunology, virology, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Prior to joining BMS, Carsten held a range of positions including: Vice President & Director of Strategic Marketing, EURO RSCG Life; Senior Product Manager (Shire); Marketing Manager (Biogen); Clinical Development Manager (Serono) and Product Manager (Janssen Cilag).
